Matthew W. McKeon

Associate Professor

I am currently working on several interrelated projects in both philosophical logic (What is logical consequence?  What is logical necessity? Do the notions of conjunctive and disjunctive normal forms rest on a mistake?) and in philosophy of language and metaphysics (Is David Kaplan’s account of word individuation correct?  What is a criterion of identity? What is its role in conjunction with principles of individuation in constraining legitimate uses of quantification? ).  Also, I am exploring the viability of a contextualist account of logical knowledge. My CV (available below) contains a list of my publications.  I hope to have  my work-in-progress available soon.
